What affects the cost of social media management?
A management proposal is easier to compare when deliverables and responsibilities are explicit. A post count on its own does not explain the strategy, production, approval and reporting work included.
Define the content workload
List the platforms, formats and production requirements. Distinguish designed posts, original filming, editing and publishing. Check who supplies raw material and whether location shoots or additional revisions are included.
Separate management from media
Paid advertising spend and campaign management should be clear cost lines. Organic posting does not automatically include advertising operations. Confirm account access, campaign responsibilities and the reporting route before comparing prices.
Clarify approval and response duties
Agree who checks claims and who answers comments or messages. Include expected review points and escalation needs. Delayed information and unclear approvals can create more work than the visible posting schedule suggests.
Compare a usable scope
Review ownership of assets, handover, account permissions and ongoing support. A practical proposal explains limits as well as deliverables. Ask how performance will be reviewed without accepting a guarantee of followers, virality or enquiries.
Bring a useful brief to the review
Record the current setup, the decision you need to make, who owns the next action and how completion will be checked. Keep business evidence separate from assumptions.
Questions before you begin
Does a posting package automatically include advertising spend?
Do not assume it does. Organic management, production, advertising operations and media spend should be described as clear cost and responsibility lines.
